Adventures in E-Mail Diving

We’re just a little odd here.

Sorry about randomly dying like that, Beefcakes. Life tends to be a little bit more important that idols (believe it or not).

Anyway, because the writers here are not in Korea, sometimes we have to order from online sites. They usually take two weeks or so to get to our place of residence and of course we’re subscribed to their newsletters at times.

One of the more popular websites for fans to buy KPOP cds and merchandise are usually YesAsia, GMarket (although I haven’t personally tried that myself), and DVDHeaven.

More often times than not, our favorite KPOP idols (and I say this with the utmost sarcasm) release nothing but crap, crap, crap for fans who’ll happily blow their student loans on.

However, this time it’s different. Because of the drama that’s still going on even though we’re in the new year (eventually, we’re going to have to do our annual Year In Review), nothing is funnier than this.

It’s not even exactly new news that SM Entertainment and Avex are selling TVXQ shit like they’re gold-platted Hummers and really good pizza pops – but I just found this in my e-mail today that I would just love to share with the rest of my wonderful readers:

Oh. Sucks to be a poor Cassie, I guess.

Happy New Year, JYJ and to our lovely readers of Korean Beef!

It’s pretty amazing. People expected a dramatic but quick showdown between JYJ and SME. Then a painful slip into obscurity. Or as one of you stated in a previous post -giving LSM a great blowjob and a letter of apology to never act badly ever again.-But….JYJ actually sticked it out. Two albums (that were blocked off by SME, broadcasting companies and Avex) with Korean accents, one kinda shitty music video and a few solo projects…and TADA!!! They are still around and giving TVXQ (sorry…Homin for the in denial Cassies) a run for their money.

TVXQ has been promoted like crazy by SME to show up JYJ but TVXQ-2 still actually lost many fans. KYHD and their soon to be released “Before you go” video are high budget. Seemingly a miracle from cheap ass SME (unless it is their precious perv-attracting SNSD of course) but not really cause like I stated earlier SME wants Homin to make the hormone driven Cassies forget there ever was a five member group. Pretty desperate for a supposedly “all-powerful” company.

JYJ are an actual threat because they have the nerve to try to implement a new system for artists (realistically for themselves but it could catch on with others) were they would HIRE their management company instead of the other way around…..Gotta say that is pretty badass. It works for some artists in the US and Japan but sacre bleu! never in KOREA!!! Gasp *shits and giggles*

I’m glad for them. I was never crazy for any of them
(and I don’t think I ever will) but they are talented compared to the majority of SuJu. (I find Heechul annoying and a few others overrated) All 5 of them have their talents (and their defects too of course)
I side with JYJ more cause at least they are trying to do something about their situation. They HAVE to if they don’t want to be has-beens in the cruel cut-throat world of KPOP. Fans are loyal like never before and a few other celebrities admit admiration for them. They endorsed some clothing brands and they are chilling.

I’m kinda annoyed with TVXQ though. They are admired like never before. Rookie groups are practically sucking them off; “Oh! Yunho is such a great leader in such a “trying” situation.” and “Changmin has come back a man!” blah blah blah and yet they are still whining with their “we are hurt by JYJ” At least JYJ have a reason to whine or hire C-JeS to do it on their befalf. They are not the ones whose music is being blocked in Korea and can’t promote normally in Japan.

KYHD did great in the charts so why can’t they shut up? If they kept silence for “2 years and 3 months” (Not kidding you, both U-know and his obnoxious fans actually count the months too.) then they can shut up forever. Still I’d rather see TVXQ/JYJ top the charts than SNSD. They are pretty and nice…I get it but girl groups are annoying me now. Most of them should take 2011 off but of course they won’t.

JYJ have been the one constantly talking about TVXQ,I have no idea where you’ve been, they had constantly mentioned them on twitter and interviews way prior to January.JYJ constantly whine about”hyung it isn’t right”,”we miss them”,”for our two friends”,”this is a five member song”,”yunho did you get my message(yunho doesn’t have twitter)”.If they want to start anew then quit bitching about your ex-bandmates constanty and taking advantage of all those blind fangirls.Maybe just b/c Hangeng and JYJ find things unfair, why should SUJU and TVXQ have to leave too. Those four are doing what’s right for them,no offense but your oppas are not the messiah of them kpop world.Your rose colored glasses are on tight I see and just by what you said you are crazy for your “gods”.At least Hangeng kept it classy unlike the other three,he didn’t diss SUJU,only SM.
