“Shocking” News: A Japanese Idol is Racist Against Koreans?

Reina Tanaka, Eri Kamei, and Sayumi Michishige on a typical break from rehearsal.

It’s pretty common and obvious to know that Asians hate each other. Chinese hate Koreans and Japanese. Japanese hates Koreans and Chinese. Koreans hate everyone who isn’t them.

So why was anyone surprised to see that Reina Tanaka, Eri Kamei, and Sayumi Michishige, of Morning Musume. fame, were caught being racist? The above picture was posted on Reina’s blog (which is admirable after her scandal of breathing the same air as another man) with the comments as they slanted their eyes, “Who’s this? A Korean person.”

Somehow, in Asia, they don’t seem to really realize that each race may have more slanted eyes than the next. The Japanese seem to think this trait is only applicable to the Chinese and Korean. However, the Koreans think the same way about Japanese and  Chinese.

Of course we all know the truth – they all have fucking slanted eyes. But thanks to a wonderful thing called circle lens, and of course plastic surgery, they seem to think that only a “lower” race would have slanted eyes.

Quick to damage control, Up Front Agency (the agency behind Morning Musume.) immediately issued an apology before the Korean netizens could change out of their old adult diapers. Believe me when I say that Up Front Agency really are up front about their damage control.

From dating older, married men to saying, “I think wotas (the male equivalent of fangirl in Japan) are creepy as fuck” and even nominating Hitler as a “great man”, they are pretty up front with turning around and saying, “LOL I’M JUST MESSING WITH YA’LL. I don’t mean that!” Or to even out right firing the person in question.

However, since Reina is their current commodity (one of the lead singers in Morning Musume., having her own puzzle video game, her own anime — much more successful and less of a bitch than Koharu Kusumi) , they just made her and the other girls apologize.

Surprisingly enough, the Korean netizens were accepting of the girls’ half-assed and possibly non-sincere apology and chalked it up as, “They’re just bored! It’s totally fine to make fun of us!”

That’s probably because Girls’ Generation, KARA, and even 4Minute are dominating the charts on the Oricon, the Japanese music charts. And the Korean netizens are probably just laughing at them for their feeble attempts to get attention.

But, remember Beefcakes, the joke will always be on them.

This is like my new favourite article, and it’s the first one I’ve read! God, very witty and very well written! Can’t wait to read more! ;)

This is really the first time I’ve heard of Japanese Idol’s POV about Korean Idols, of course I know about Japanese-Korean-Chinese-everyone racism, but it’s interesting to see it from this perspective.

You’re a bloody ignorant retard! The asians hate each other? Why do chinese/.korean/japanese websites share each others music? Why do koreans sing in chinese once in a while? Catch a wake up! And in regards to our eyes- not all of us have really slanted eyes! Im chinese and was born with big eyes and i dont use those contacts and anyway, how do contacts fix your eye shape?? singers like those two have something called plastic surgery done. But hey, americans have it done too so who cares. Its just stuck up girls like those to who hate on other asians

No, the writer is not. Every “rule” has exceptions, but at my school (in CANADA), only the whitewashed asians mingle. Otherwise, Korean immigrants stick with Koreans, Japanese immigrants stick with Japanese and hate on oh who am I kidding, our school has no Japanese immigrants TROLOLOL and Chinese immigrants stick with Chinese. It’s no joke.

This makes no sense at all. Most East Asians have slanted eyes. Its like most whites have big pointy noses. Anyway, Japanese love Kpop and dramas. They just made a fool of themselves.

One person does not a people make… These antics were done by some famous people doing an extremely stupid thing at the wrong time… I don’t know how long they have been that crazy and I don’t care… But I don’t think that they hold the sentiments of their people in their hands… Every race has their own rejects… Don’t hate…

YOU are being racist now. “Asian race superiority for just $14 plus shipping”, this is really rude. Westerners do plastic surgery and wear lenses and stuff all the time, and you say that… Her entry blog was simply a joke, and now you and the rest of the korean’s fans are taking too serious and being rude with japanese people.

I am korean and i know.Koreans are shy and scared to help foregniers so they just walk away. They will get ashamed if they speak wrong. Somepeople are racist and some are not. About the staring, maybe they are surprised or old people never seen black people and they look scary and have some strong looking so they are scared and they dont want to get beaten up. Thats why they dont help them. Sometimes koreans get culture shock too
